OUR PACKAGING CAPABILITIES

Services

Located in southcentral Kentucky, Apace Packaging packs/repacks oral solid dose pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals into bottles and blister packs.

Bottling Apace has two medium speed bottling lines that are generally used for commercial packaging jobs. Each line features automated equipment that handles bottle unscrambling, desiccant insertion, tablet/capsule counting, check-weighing, filler insertion, capping, sealing, labeling, topserting, and bundling. One line features a new Cremer Vibratory Counter and the other uses a Modular Slat Counter. Our serialization solution starts at the labeler and is integrated into each step thereafter to create 4-level aggregated solution.

Apace also has a small volume packaging area that is used for smaller jobs where manual packaging is more appropriate.

Blister Packs Apace has two lines used for blister packaging. Each line features automated equipment for blister formation, blister filling, product inspection, printing of lidding, lidding print inspection, blister sealing, blister card punch-out, carton formation and filling, PI insertion, check-weighing, carton labeling/sealing, and encoding. Our serialization solution starts at the carton encoder and is integrated into each step thereafter to create 3-level aggregated solution. Apace also uses an automated, non-destructive seal integrity testing system to routinely verify that the blister seals are acceptable.

Rework and Special Projects Apace has extensive experience in the execution of rework and special projects. Whether you need to have your product reworked for a quality or regulatory issue, or need some special secondary packaging performed, Apace can easily handle your special project needs.
